The 一般产品安全规例(GPSR) EU/2023/988 uses the EU general product safety legal framework to address new challenges from digitalization, whilst ensuring consumer products on the EU markets are safe. The GPSR replaces the current General 产品 Safety Directive (2001/95/EC) as of 13th December 2024.

不像许多产品指令, the GPSD directive (2001/95/EC) does not require the use of CE marking but uses many of the same principles, such as the option to use harmonized standards to provide a presumption of conformity to the safety requirements of the directive.
